Board Members

The Capitol West Condo Owners Association is governed by a seven-member Board of Directors. Five members represent the High-Rise, one represents the Townhouses and one represents the Commercial Units. If no one from the Commercial Units volunteers to serve, that member will be selected from the High-Rise. Board seats are 2-year staggered terms with either three or four seats coming up for election prior to each year's CWCOA Annual Meeting.

The Board meets bi-monthly (and more often when required) to consider routine and special Capitol West issues. In any given month there may be a number of email contacts between Board members and/or the Property Manager. The Board is responsible for developing the Budget for the next year each Fall and for conducting the CWCOA Annual Meeting in early December. ​Some Board members volunteer to serve on Board Committees to address important projects. These have included updating the condo documents, securing new management, annual meeting planning, and others. Each Committee (such as the Garden Committee) needs to include a Board member, although the Board member does not need to be the chairperson.

Please consider volunteering your time and talents to serve on the CWCOA Board of Directors. Serving on the Board is not necessarily a big time commitment. One can keep up with occasional emails and attend meetings or can choose to be more involved by serving on one or more committees.

Board and Annual Meetings

For 2026, the Board of Directors will meet bi-monthly, with meetings open to Unit Owners via Zoom. Meetings will begin at 2pm and typically last 60-90 minutes. The Board also coordinates the CWCOA Annual Meeting each December.   Meeting agendas and Zoom links, when appropriate, are distributed 1-2 weeks prior to each meeting.
